My name is Chrissy "LC" Bulakites and I am the photographer behind Matchbox Studios, a Boston based wedding photography company looking to change the rules.  Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life and I believe that it deserves to be both artfully captured and experienced.  Emphasis on the experience part.  I have a strong background in fashion and photojournalism and bring  these sensibilities to all of my work.  I believe that candid, narrative images are the most beautiful and meaningful.  Of course, I'll be sure to take formal portraits of you with your friends and family, but I'm not going to waste your time arranging all your wedding guests into a heart formation.  (I'm looking at you, Pinterest.)  Your wedding is meant to be enjoyed, so be in the moment and enjoy it while I help you turn those moments into lasting memories!  

I view each wedding as a chance to tell a new, unique love story.  It is these stories that inspire my work.  Matchbox Studios is named for my favorite love story - that of my grandparents.  I grew up watching them move all the furniture in the living room (Or on the back patio.  Or in a restaurant.  Or anywhere, really.) out of the way at any given moment so that they had room to  dance.  That is always the first thing that comes to mind when I think about their relationship.  They were huge fans of  rock-a-billy and would dance to everything from Chuck Berry to Elvis.  "Matchbox" is a classic rock-a-billy song by Carl Perkins that I specifically remember hearing a lot as a kid.  It only seemed natural that it should be included in the name as a tribute to the most bad ass couple I've ever been lucky enough to know.
